Treasure Planet

I’ve seriously got to give Disney props - this is a pretty epic trailer. I love its minimal use of words, and the overall pacing. They used some of the best shots from the film, and also made great use of the score. It’s just not what I’d expect from a traditional Disney trailer. That being said, I’m sure this trailer got overlooked as much as the film itself. Why this movie did poorly is always sad to me - it’s actually a really cool interpretation of Stevenson’s book. Anyway, I don’t mean to reference the film itself so much when purely looking at the trailer itself… but oh well.

That awkward moment where you literally weep uncontrollably during this episode because it feels like one of your favorite television shows is really coming to an end… hooray for way more emotions than I originally expected while watching Michael Scott leave the Office.

I’m going to need some major hugs when HIMYM ends.

I’m going to go ahead and post this video. It’s long, but I just don’t understand the Office going forward without Michael Scott… blah.

"Look, we’ve known each other for almost 2 years now. And yeah, in that time, I’ve given a lot of speeches, but they all have one thing in common: they’re all different. These drug runners aren’t going to execute Pierce because he’s racist. It’s a locomotive that runs on us. And the only sharks in that water are the emotional ghosts that I like to call ‘fear, anchovies, fear’, and ‘the dangers of ingesting mercury’. Because the real bugs aren’t the ones in those beds, and there’s no such thing as a free caesar salad. And even if there were, The Cape still might find a second life on cable! And I’ll tell you why: El corazón del agua es verdad. That water is a lie! Harrison Ford is irradiating our testicles with microwave satellite transmissions! So maybe we are caught in an endless cycle of screw ups and hurt feelings. But I chose to believe it’s just the universe’s way of molding us into some kind of super group…prepared for any insane adventure life throws our way. And I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to every one of them."

Not sure I actually like this video or not…

My favorite part is the turtle sex.

I do appreciate the audio experience it provides, and the attention payed to what you hear in each ear.

"Nothing defines humans better than their willingness to do irrational things in the pursuit of phenomenally unlikely payoffs. This is the principle behind lotteries, dating, and religion."
